Well….
Annoying as this is, I think I’m going to have to concede defeat on this challenge. Far too much going on now that uni is in full swing! May upload a few more pictures before the year’s out, but probably won’t.
September was fun… International Freshers’ Week, Freshers’ Week itself, then first two weeks back at uni (not so much fun, actually. who knew a law degree would be so difficult?!)

Late post… sorreee! Too busy to knit or upload yesterday, as was putting the finishing touches to this, my scrapbook. Like?
Finito: the first stripe of my blanket. Planning to embark on a tea cosy before another stripe is done. Could be ambitious…
To be honest, I’m beginning to bore myself with pictures of knitting. And kinda of knitting itself. But not knitting would involve doing something other than sitting in front of the computer watching Smallville all day, so I continue. Plus I think my blanket will look oddly magnificent.
What else has occurred in this day? I bought a teapot from a charity shop, along with some wool. Both are gorgeous. My foot’s starting to swell up a bit again :( Our kitchen is out of action due to the new one going in, and I’m feeling the lack of capacity for baking. Not fun.
Just accept that August is my month of knitting. This is going to be a blanket. Though today was also my last hurrah before the kitchen is re-done; baked:
- Sticky Toffee Pudding
- Chocolate Mud Slices
- Cranberry Rockies
- Ginger, Lemon, and Honey cookies
Think we should be ok in the home-baking front for a while…

And today’s progress… do you know how soul-destroying it is when you realise you’ve made a mistake 10 rows up (=approximately 25 minutes at my current speed) from where you’ve made it?
